Speakeasy Dinner Club is a pop-up dining concept from Chef Matt Eckelmann.
As a club, we celebrate flavor & connection. We aim to root our guests to the earth. We choose local farms first and grow many of our fruits and vegetables in our Chef’s Garden. We strive to shorten the distance between you, your food’s source, and the chef. It’s our core belief that people are made to connect, and that good food makes fast friends.
Chef Matt grew up in a sprawling Italian-Irish-German family in Marine Park, Brooklyn. Decades span between his parents and their oldest & youngest siblings, but everyone found common ground in the kitchen. Food is Chef Matt’s love language. In this current climate, we see a disturbing trend toward a world that is increasingly shy to gather and slow to develop trust. It’s our goal to bring neighbors, friends, and family around the table.
